Pennsylvania Route 54 |

Eastern Terminus: US 209 in Nesquehoning Length: 70 miles Counties: Lycoming, Northumberland, Montour, Columbia, Schuylkill, Carbon Routing: Starting at the intersection of US 15 and Elimsport Rd. northwest of Montgomery, PA 54 runs southeasterly to Montgomery, where it is joined by PA 405 as both cross the Susquehanna River. Once solo, PA 54 continues southeasterly, meeting I-180 at its Exit 5 before entering into Turbotville. PA 54 meets PA 44 there, and the two highways dually head east for a distance before PA 54 splits off, and runs southeasterly into Washingtonville. There, PA 54 turns southerly, passes I-80 at its Exit 224 before entering into Danville. There, it intersects US 11, crosses the Susquehanna River's North Branch and enters into Riverside. From there, PA 54 runs southeasterly through Elysburg, intersects PA 61 near Mount Carmel, then is joined by PA 901 for a distance as it bends to the east-northeast. After PA 901 departs, PA 54 runs through Ashland, where it duplexes for a short distance with PA 61. Continuing east-northeasterly, PA 54 passes through Girardville, Shenandoah and Mahanoy City. PA 54 then intersects I-81 at its Exit 131, and then goes on to Grier City, Hometown and Nesquehoning, where the state highway comes to an end where it meets US 209. Links:
