Ohio Route 73

Eastern Terminus: US 23 in downtown Portsmouth, concurrent with OH 104's Southern Terminus

Length: 134.80 miles

Counties: Butler, Warren, Clinton, Highland, Adams, Scioto

Routing: Beginning in downtown Oxford where US 27 and OH 732 meet, OH 73 follows US 27 for more than 0.75 mile, then begins its solo trek, heading east through Trenton before joining OH 4 for 4 miles through Middletown.  OH 73 becomes a solo route again, heading east into Butler County, passing through Franklin and Springboro, where it meets I-75.  Continuing east, OH 73 goes through Waynesville, where it meets US 42, then passes through Caesar Creek State Park, and into Clinton County.  Next, OH 73 intersects I-71, and enters Wilmington.  There, OH 73 forms a triplex with US 22 and OH 3, then turns southeasterly, entering into Highland County, and going into its county seat of Hillsboro.  From there, OH 73 becomes primarily a rural route, cutting southeasterly through northeastern Adams County and into Scioto County.  OH 73 meets OH 104, and the two routes duplex southward, intersect US 52, turn east, cross the Scioto River just north of the Ohio River, and end at a common terminus at US 23 in downtown Portsmouth.
