Ohio Route 64

Southern Terminus: I-75 (Exit 181) in Bowling Green, where OH 64 turns into OH 105

Northern Terminus: Michigan State Line near Metamora

Length: 36.40 miles

Counties: Wood, Lucas, Fulton

Routing: OH 64 heads west from the junction of  I-75 and OH 105 near Bowling Green State University into downtown Bowling Green.  Going northwest out of town, OH 64 passes through Haskins on the way up to meeting OH 65.  Turning west, OH 64 goes across the Maumee River into Waterville, then continues past Whitehouse before turning north to the US 20A/OH 2 junction in Swanton.  Following a brief multiplex, OH 64 heads north to meet US 20/OH 120.  OH 120 then duplexes with OH 64 up to Metamora.  After splitting with OH 120, OH 64 briefly turns east, then north to end at the Michigan State Line, where OH 64 becomes a county road.

This sign appears along all Ohio state routes that begin at the Michigan State Line, regardless of whether the Michigan roadway is state- or county-maintained.  Because of the thread of the emerald ash borer, transport of ash tree material and non-coniferous firewood from the north into Ohio is prohibited, and decent fines apply for violations.  The sign shown here appears on OH 64 South.

View of OH 64 at its Northern Terminus at the Michigan State Line, where it turns into county-maintained Loar Hwy.  There is no END OH 64 shield present here, and the only indication that one has crossed into the Wolverine State, besides the change in pavement, is a small green "Enter Lenawee County" sign.
