Southern Terminus: Junction of OH 29 and OH 4 in downtown Mechanicsburg

Northern Terminus: OH 287, at a T-intersection 4 miles northwest of North Lewisburg

Length: 16.63 miles

County: Champaign, Logan

Routing: Starting at the junction of OH 29 and OH 4 in Mechanicsburg, OH 559 briefly duplexes with OH 29 before heading north out of town.  The state highway passes rural intersections with OH 161 and US 36, then travels through Woodstock.  Turning northwesterly, OH 559 enters North Lewisburg, where it intersects OH 245.  After crossing from Champaign County into Logan County, OH 559 arrives at its endpoint where it meets OH 287.
