Western Terminus: OH 139, 11 miles west of Oak Hill

Eastern Terminus: US 35, just east of Centerville

Length: 20.11 miles

Counties: Jackson, Gallia

Routing: OH 279 runs primarily through southern Jackson County.  It begins in a fairly rural part of southwestern Jackson County at OH 139.  OH 279 runs easterly to Oak Hill, where it meets OH 93 and OH 233.  East of there, OH 279 ducks into Gallia County, passes through Centerville, and comes to an end at the US 35 expressway just east of the village.
