Western Terminus: OH 800, at a T-intersection 3 miles south of Woodsfield

Eastern Terminus: OH 7, in the hamlet of Sardis along the Ohio River

Length: 18.08 miles

County: Monroe

Routing: Existing entirely within the southeastern quadrant of Monroe County, OH 255 begins at a T-intersection with OH 800 south of Woodsfield.  The state route runs through a portion of Wayne National Forest as its travels southeasterly to the unincorporated community of Sardis, where OH 255 comes to an end at OH 7 just blocks from the Ohio River.

OH 7 shield at the back of the intersection that serves as OH 255's Eastern Terminus.  There is no END signage present for OH 255 at its junction with OH 7.  The Ohio River looms just past the row of trees right behind the gazebo shown in the background of this photo.
