Ohio Route 209

Eastern Terminus: I-77 (Exit 41) in Byesville, at an interchange that doubles as OH 821's Northern Terminus

Length: 16.63 miles

Counties: Muskingum, Guernsey

Routing: Beginning at OH 83 in the unincorporated community of Bloomfield in eastern Muskingum County, OH 209 heads east, entering into Guernsey County after less than 2 miles.  The highway generally trends east-southeasterly as it enters into Cambridge.  Turning south in downtown Cambridge, OH 209 goes on to meet I-70 in the southern end of the city.  OH 209 then stair-steps to the south and east into Byesville, where it meets OH 821.  The two highways jointly come to an end at I-77, at an interchange along the eastern village limits of Byesville.

Signage along OH 209 West/OH 821 South in advance of the signalized intersection in downtown Byesville where OH 821 turns off to begin its journey paralleling I-77 southward toward Marietta, and OH 209 West becomes a solo route as it makes its way to Cambridge.

END OH 209 shield assembly at OH 209's Eastern Terminus at I-77's Exit 41.  This interchange also marks the Northern Terminus of OH 821; however, interestingly enough, while there is an END OH 209 shield present, there is no corresponding END OH 821 marker in place here.
