Ohio Route 174 |
|
Nothern Terminus: Junction of US 20 and OH 640 in downtown Willoughby Length: 9.56 miles Counties: Cuyahoga, Lake
Routing: Also known
as Chagrin River Rd., OH 174 begins in a very quiet residential portion
of Gates Mills, at Old Mill Rd., adjacent to where it crosses the
Chagrin River. Heading northward, this lightly-traveled route runs
to the east of the Chagrin River, and intersects US 322. The
highway continues north, abutting the east side of North Chagrin
Metro Park, and then crossing over the Chagrin River before crossing from
Cuyahoga County into Lake County, and the City of Willoughby Hills.
Further north, after meeting US 6, OH 174 travels to the west of the
Chagrin River, and passes underneath I-90 without much fanfare, and
crosses into Willoughby. After briefly following OH 84 heading
northeastward, the state route ascends a hill into downtown Willoughby
where, after running concurrent with US 20 for 3 blocks, OH 174 comes to
an end where US 20 meets OH 640. |
