Eastern Terminus: Hartshorn Rd., 2 miles west of Marblehead Length: 46.24 miles County: Wood, Ottawa
Routing: OH 163
commences at a T-intersection with US 20/US 23 in the hamlet of Stony
Ridge, proceeding northeasterly to Genoa Rd., then turns east,
intersecting OH 420 and passing underneath I-80/I-90/Ohio Turnpike
before entering into Ottawa County. OH 163 continues easterly
through primarily rural terrain, passing through Genoa en route to Oak
Harbor. There, OH 163 joins OH 105 heading easterly into downtown
to the OH 19 junction, where OH 105 ends but OH 163 continues on.
Straddling the north side of the Portage River, OH 163 meets OH 2 at the
start of its freeway stretch at a partial interchange, then crosses the
Portage River via a drawbridge as it enters into Port Clinton.
East of town, after it meets a connector to the OH 2 freeway, OH 163
passes through its junction with OH 53 and a duplex with OH 269, as it
heads out onto the Marblehead Peninsula along the shore of Lake Erie.
At the east end of the peninsula is the Village of Marblehead, which OH
163 travels through in a reverse "C" fashion. West of town, OH 163
comes to an end where it meets Hartshorn Rd. |
