Interstate 475 (Ohio)

Southern Terminus: I-75 (Exit 192), at a directional "Y" interchange with US 23 in Perrysburg

Eastern Terminus: I-75 (Exit 204), also at a directional "Y" interchange, this time near downtown Toledo

Length: 20.37 miles

Counties: Wood, Lucas

Routing: I-475 begins at I-75 in Perrysburg, joined by US 23, which follows I-75 between US 20 and I-475.  I-475/US 23 starts out going west, then turns northwesterly to cross the Maumee River, into Lucas County and the City of Maumee.  At US 24, I-475/US 23 turns northerly, crosses over the Ohio Turnpike, then continues north through the western suburban portions of the Toledo area.  Just north of US 20/OH 120, I-475 splits from US 23, and heads easterly back to I-75 near downtown Toledo, paralleling the Michigan State Line by approximately 3 miles to the south, in the process.

Auxiliary guide sign on I-475/US 23 North between the OH 25 and US 24 interchanges noting that traffic bound for I-80/I-90/Ohio Turnpike should utilize Exit 4.  This sign was installed sometime in 2009, replacing a like sign that informed drivers to use Exit 6 (Dussel Dr.).  Now, instead of Dussel Dr., traffic is advised to use US 24 to US 20 to get to the Turnpike from I-475/US 23.

Sign truss with advanced diagrammatical exit sign for the interchange marking the northern split of the I-475/US 23 duplex (Exit 14).  A third lane is formed by the merge of the on-ramp from US 20/OH 120 on the right.  That lane defaults onto I-475 East, while the left lane defaults onto US 23 North, and the middle lane offers motorists the option of taking either route.
