New York Route 67

Western Terminus: NY 5, 1 mile southeast of St. Johnsville

Eastern Terminus: Vermont State Line, 4 miles northeast of North Hoosick, where NY 67 turns into VT 67

Length: 86.55 miles

Counties: Montgomery, Fulton, Saratoga, Rensselaer, Washington

Routing: NY 67 begins at a T-intersection with NY 5 southeast of St. Johnsville.  The state route crosses from Montgomery County into Fulton County, immediately prior to joining NY 10 for a brief duplex heading north, before resuming an easterly trek on to Johnstown.  Departing the village to the southeast, NY 67 re-enters Montgomery County, and works its way down to Fort Johnson.  There, NY 67 meets NY 5 again, and this time joins it on into Amsterdam.  After meeting NY 30 and departing NY 5 in downtown Amsterdam, NY 67 heads easterly, jogs north, and then resumes an easterly trend into Saratoga County.  At Ballston Spa, NY 67 duplexes with NY 50 briefly heading south, before turning southeasterly toward Malta.  There, NY 67 runs through five roundabouts in rapid-fire succession, amidst which it meets I-87 and hits the northern junction with US 9.  NY 67 follows US 9 for 1.5 miles to the Round Lake, where it splits at a new roundabout at the northern end of the Round Lake Bypass.  Going southeasterly from there, NY 67 forms a brief triplex with US 4 and NY 32 through Mechanicville, before crossing over the Hudson River and into Rensselaer County.  NY 67 runs concurrent with NY 40 heading northerly through Schagticoke, then heads northeasterly as a solo route, straddling the path of the Hoosic River in the process.  Upon meeting NY 22, NY 67 turns southeastward and duplexes with the north-south state route heading into Washington County.  At North Hoosick, NY 67 turns northeasterly, and follows the north banks of the Hoosic River up to the Vermont State Line, where the state route comes to an end, and turns into VT 67.

Shield assembly in advance of the roundabout that marks both the southern split of the US 9/NY 67 duplex, and the northern end of the new Round Lake Bypass.  The markers advise traffic looking to stay on NY 67 East to use the left lane going into the roundabout, and traffic bound for I-87 South to use the right lane, and follow the Round Lake Bypass to Saratoga Co. Rd. 80 to get to the Interstate.
