END NY 631 shield in advance of the signalized intersection with NY 48 and NY 690 that marks NY 631's Northern Terminus.  The side road to the left preceding the intersection is actually NY 48 South.  NY 48 overlaps the roadway that NY 631 utilizes for the few hundred feet leading up to the traffic signal, where NY 690 begins to the left, and NY 48 North heads to the right.
