New York Route 414

Southern Terminus: NY 352 in downtown Corning

Northern Terminus: NY 104, 5 miles west of Wolcott

Length: 83.20 miles

Counties: Steuben, Chemung, Schuyler, Seneca, Wayne

Routing: NY 414 begins at NY 352 in downtown Corning, and passes over the Chemung River, by NY 415's Eastern Terminus and by an interchange with I-86/NY 17 before it even departs the city to the northeast.  The state route departs Steuben County, and clips the northwestern corner of Chemung County before entering into Schuyler County.  NY 414 meets NY 14 near the Watkins Glen Race Course, and the two highways duplex through Watkins Glen.  Leaving the village to the north, after passing by NY 79's Western Terminus, NY 414 runs along the east side of the longest of the Finger Lakes, Seneca Lake, up into Seneca County.  NY 414 moves inland, passing through the villages of Lodi and Ovid.  There, it meets NY 96, and the two routes run together for a few miles heading north.  After NY 96 splits off, NY 414 continues north up to Seneca Falls.  There, it meets US 20/NY 5, and the three routes triplex for 1.5 miles heading west toward Waterloo.  NY 414 turns north again as a solo route, meeting I-90/New York Thruway at its Exit 41 4 miles to the north, immediately north of NY 318.  Continuing north in Wayne County, NY 414 enters Clyde, where it crosses the Erie Canal and meets NY 31.  8 miles to the north of Clyde, NY 414 comes to an end where it meets NY 104.
