Western Entrance: Pennsylvania State Line between Erie and Ripley Eastern Entrance: The Berkshire Connector becomes the Massachusetts Turnpike southeast of Albany. Length: 385.9miles Counties: Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Madison, Oneida, Otsego, Montgomery, Albany, Columbia Routing: I-90 begins its trek through the northern portion of New York State at the Pennsylvania State Line east of Erie. The freeway heads northwest to Buffalo, where it then turns east and runs almost due east-west through the flatlands between Buffalo and Albany. In Albany, the I-90 runs concurrent with I-87 before continuing its trek east as the Berkshire extension of the New York Thruway and Massachusetts. With the exception of roughly 10miles near Buffalo, all of I-90 is part of the New York Thruway Toll Facility. Links: |
