Terminus:
I-86/NY 17,
1.5 miles southeast of Avoca Northern Terminus: I-490 (Exit 9 A), at an interchange in the western end of Rochester where I-390 becomes NY 390 Length: 76.06 miles Counties: Steuben, Livingston, Monroe Routing: I-390 starts at the I-86/NY 17 interchange northwest of Corning. It proceeds northwest until roughly Mount Morris, where it straightens out and heads almost directly north-south. Passing the I-90/New York Thruway and I-590 interchanges and heading into Rochester, the Interstate swings westerly and follows the Rochester Ring Road until it meets I-490, where I-390 comes to an end, and transitions into NY 390. US 15 now ends at a large interchange with I-86/NY 17 near Corning, though most of the former highway up to Rochester has been re-designated as NY 15. |
