I-290 West comes to an end upon passing through this sign gantry with lane-distribution signs showing two lanes (and a 35 m.p.h. curve) for I-190 South, and two lanes for I-190 North.  A second lane for I-190 North opens up on the right side immediately preceding this sign truss.  There is no END signage present for I-290 at this endpoint.

Overhead exit sign on I-290 West at the exit to NY 384 North (Exit 1 B).  Versus using a sign truss with separate signs for the NY 384 North and South exits at this full cloverleaf interchange, NYSDOT utilizes a singular sign to cover both exits here.  This is a common practice of signing at two-exit interchanges throughout the Buffalo vicinity.
