Northern Terminus: At the US 10 freeway, 2 miles east of the Midland City Limits Length: 14.34 miles Counties: Saginaw, Bay Routing: Starting at a signalized T-intersection with M-46 west of Saginaw, this state highway, which was actually a part of US 10 prior to 1960, heads northwesterly as a two-lane route running parallel to, and to the east of, the Tittabawassee River, up through its intersection with M-58. Continuing in a northwesterly fashion, M-47 is five lanes wide as it heads into the unincorporated community of Freeland. Northwest of Freeland, after the Midland Rd. intersection, M-47 converts into a four-lane freeway that runs northerly for three miles up to its endpoint at the US 10 freeway east of Midland. Links:
