Michigan Route 39


Southern Terminus: Lafayette Blvd., 1 block southeast of a six-ramp parclo A4 interchange with I-75 (Exit 41) in Lincoln Park

Northern Terminus: M-10 (Exit 14 C) in Southfield

Counties: Wayne, Oakland

Routing: M-39 begins its trek through suburban Detroit near I-75 as an eight-lane boulevard heading northwesterly through Allen Park.  Beyond the I-94 junction, M-39 continues on a more northerly trajectory through Dearborn and Detroit as a six-lane freeway.  M-39 ends at a partial interchange with M-10 in Southfield.

From M-39, I-94 goes westerly toward Ann Arbor, Jackson and points west, and northeasterly toward downtown Detroit and ultimately Port Huron.

View looking northerly from Plymouth Road towards the I-96 interchange.  M-39 meets I-96 at a massive stack interchange.  The interchange is particularly large due to the express-local setup that exists on I-96 through the western suburbs.
