Michigan Route 227

Southern Terminus: I-69 (Exit 32), at a diamond interchange south of Marshall

Northern Terminus: BL I-94, just east of I-69's Exit 36 in the western end of Marshall

Length: 6.71 miles

County: Calhoun

Routing: Existing entirely within Calhoun County, M-227 begins at the F Dr. South interchange off of I-69 (Exit 32) south of Marshall, and heads easterly from there to Old US 27.  The state highway turns north at that intersection, and follows the routing of the former U.S. route into Marshall.  Upon crossing the Kalamazoo River, M-227 turns west onto Industrial Dr., and follows that road to West Dr., which M-227 then takes northerly up to its junction with BL I-94, which marks its endpoint, just 2 blocks east of I-69's Exit 36, which also doubles as M-96's Eastern Terminus.

Assembly featuring BL I-94, TO I-94 and M-227 ENDS shields at M-227's Northern Terminus in the western part of Marshall.  It is interesting to note that, considering this intersection is just 2 blocks east of I-69, there is not a TO I-69 trailblazer as a part of this assembly.  I-94 is less than 1.5 miles to the north of here, accessible via BL I-94 West and I-69 North.
