View of I-96 West as the ramp that marks the beginning of M-6 West diverges to the right at Exit 46.  The Thornapple River flows amidst this interchange.  Consequently, the high-speed flyover ramp from I-96 West to M-6 West passes over both the river and the Interstate via a singular bridge.

Exit sign for BL I-96/Grand River Ave. (Exit 90) on I-96 East at the interchange marking the Western Terminus of the Lansing BL I-96.  The overpass behind this sign carries the ramp from I-96 East to I-69 East over the dual I-96 carriageways.

Sign truss with 0.25 mile advance exit sign for NB Lansing Rd. (Exit 98 B) and exit sign for SB Lansing Rd. (Exit 98 A) on I-96 East at the divergence of the exit ramp to SB Lansing Rd.  Similar to the M-43/BL I-69 interchange 5 miles back, the interchange between I-96 and Lansing Rd., which was US 27 prior to the completion of I-69 up to I-96 in 1992, is a full cloverleaf.

Exit sign for BL I-96/Cedar St. (Exit 104) on I-96 West.  This exit, a trumpet interchange, marks the start of the Lansing BL I-96 in the westbound direction.  BL I-96 actually follows a connector roadway from the interchange that leads to first Pennsylvania Ave., and then Cedar St., which BL I-96 follows into the downtown vicinity of Michigan's capital city.
