Interstate 96 (Michigan)

Western Terminus: US 31 in Muskegon

Eastern Terminus: I-75 near Downtown Detroit, adjacent to the Ambassador Bridge to Windsor, Ontario

Length: 192.26 miles

Counties: Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent, Ionia, Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Livingston, Oakland, Wayne

Routing: I-96 begins at a cloverleaf interchange with US-31 and BUS US-31 just outside of Muskegon.  From there, the interstate continues easterly to Grand Rapids, where it runs along the north and east side of the City.  From Grand Rapids, I-96 treks further East towards Lansing, where the freeway rings around the west and south part of the community.  Beyond Lansing, the freeway treks further easterly still following the former US-16 trajectory through Brighton and Novi.  At Novi the highway turns south running concurrent with I-275.  At the M-14 interchange, I-96 continues easterly still heading through Detroit before finally terminating at the I-75 interchange at the foot of the Ambassador Bridge.
