Sign gantry with signage marking the eastern split of the I-94/US 12 duplex around Ypsilanti (Exit 185).  US 12 East exits to the left with just one lane, but widens out to two as it crosses over I-94 West.  At this interchange, there are only two direct maneuvers possible: the split of I-94 and US 12 eastbound, and the convergence of I-94 and US 12 westbound.  All other maneuvers are possible via Wiard Rd.

Sign truss with US 12 West and US 12 East guide signs on NB Wiard Rd. 0.25 mile before it meets US 12 along the Willow Run Bypass stretch of the U.S. highway near Willow Run Airport near Ypsilanti.  I-94 is noted on the sign for US 12 West, as traffic is routed via NB Wiard Rd. and US 12 West to get from Willow Run Airport to I-94 West, as there is no direct access from SB Wiard Rd. to I-94 West; southbound traffic defaults onto I-94 East at the Interstate's Exit 186.

TO I-94 trailblazer on WB Wick Rd. approaching its intersection with Vining Rd., which is located 0.25 mile north of I-94's Exit 197 near Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Romulus.  This is one of the more obscure I-94 shields on there, no doubt locally-made, with the small "94" text, along with the lack of white border around the "Interstate" text in the red portion of the shield.

Overhead exit sign for US 24/Telegraph Rd. (Exit 202) on I-94 East.  Originally an extremely substandard interchange first built when the Detroit Industrial Expwy. was constructed in the 1940s, the interchange between I-94 and US 24 was reconfigured into a single-point urban interchange (SPUI) in 2005-06, in time for Super Bowl XL in Detroit in 2006.  A pair of tied-arch bridges now take I-94 traffic over US 24.

I-94 guide sign and M-39/Southfield Frwy. exit sign (Exit 204) on sign truss located on I-94 East at the M-39 interchange.  Pelham Rd. is also accessible from this interchange; however, as the previous picture shows, it is not noted on any of the I-94 East exit signs.  Only an auxiliary guide sign denotes that Pelham Rd. can be reached via Exit 204.
