An Emergency Detour is in place along a series of roads that follow the I-469 corridor on the eastern outskirts of Fort Wayne, marked by shields such as the one shown here on on the left side of EB Tillman Rd. at its intersection with Minnich Rd.  Emergency Detours are a new phenomenon in place along I-469 and I-69 in the Fort Wayne area, and also along other select Interstate corridors in the state, to provide an alternate in the event of a major closure of, or delay along, the Interstate.
