Elgin-O'Hare Expwy. The third lane formed with the merge of the
on-ramp from US 20 West becomes exit only for the first exit in the
eastbound direction. IL 19, which is Irving Park Rd., is not noted
on any of the exit signs in either direction. Supplemental TO IL
19 trailblazers, such as the one at right, appear instead to direct
traffic in search of that route in the right direction.

Rd./Meacham Rd. exit ramp shows a typical means of signing a lane drop
on freeways in the Greater Chicagoland Area, with black-on-yellow "Left
Lane Ends" text and a red "X" on a white background beneath the text.

is known as Meacham Rd., while to the south, it is called Medinah Rd.

Rd. at the beginning of the WB Elgin-O'Hare Expwy. No left turn is
permitted onto IL 53 South where Thorndale Ave. transitions into the
Elgin-O'Hare Expwy., so one must use a turn-around ramp provided at the
Medinah Rd./Meacham Rd. interchange to loop onto the EB Elgin-O'Hare
Expwy., then access IL 53 South via a right turn.
