Centre - Reconstructed Oxnard Boulevard (Hwy 1) Interchange and Overpass. This interchange was recently reconfigured to allow full access from
all directions. Previously, it was only possible to access southbound Hwy 1 from southbound U.S. Route 101 and access northbound U.S. Route 101 from
northbound Hwy 1 (Oxnard Boulevard). This interchange reconstruction project was carried out simultaneously with the widening of the adjacent Santa Clara
River Bridge. These two reconstruction projects greatly improved traffic flow on this important section of U.S. Route 101 between Oxnard and Ventura.

Right - Overhead freeway sign on northbound U.S. Route 101 at the Santa Clara River Bridge. This newly-widened structure now has four through lanes,
instead of just three lanes. The new bridge also includes two diverge lanes for Johnson Drive and a pedestrian bridge (at far right).

Left - Approaching the Hwy 126 Freeway Interchange on southbound U.S. Route 101 in Ventura. Note that Hwy 1 is indicated on the overhead sign along
with U.S. Route 101, even though Hwy 1 is technically discontinuous for several miles between Ventura and Oxnard.

Ventura, the signed control city for northbound U.S. Route 101 varies between Santa Barbara and San Francisco. Southbound U.S. Route 101 signs nearly
always indicate Los Angeles.
